BCA Green Screen Shoot

POSTED: November 11, 2008

So today was the big Green Screen shoot! My little car was packed to the brim with production gear.

First step was to make room for the 15 X 20 foot, foam backed green screen material.

A unique non-reflective surface more flexible and durable than standard cloth or paper screens.

Once the screen is hung, it flattens beautifully!

Throw on a bunch of lights, mount the teleprompter on the camera, and we are ready for talent.

BC Assessment Project

POSTED: November 7, 2008

The BC Assessment project is well under way...and just in time to address all those political issues!

While outside the Victoria office fungus sprouts

(The recent rain had these babies popping up in the grass beside the parking lot!)

Inside is a Hot House of creativity!

(Dan and Kelly discuss 'motivation')

Lights, camera, teleprompter....

(How many producers does it take to tape the CEO?....all of them!). Next week, the editing begins. My favourite part.

Cheers,  Doug Slack

Dougs First Blog

POSTED: October 7, 2008

Welcome to the 2.0 PRODUCTIONS Blogging Camp.

I'm Doug Slack the video guy
(the one on the organic tripod).

What an awesome couple of weeks it's been! We won a great contract with BC Assessment. The interviews and scripting are done, now the shooting starts. November is going to be a busy month. Watch for updates.

Have you seen the Hot House Pizza website yet?
Check out our friend Rahmat as he takes you on a tour of the melty cheesey goodness that is Hot House Pizza.

This was a really fun shoot...for everyone but Terry, who learned to cope with his fear of heights.

Yesterday I was out in the Cowichan Valley shooting B-reel for a series of videos to promote the Cadillac Homes new development.

Crystal clear lake, the air as fresh as it gets, you live for days like this!

The Peace of the lake,or the Peace of the land...
